Vtg Taxco 95% Pure Silver & Sodalite Barrel Bead Necklace - Navajo Pearl Style

Vintage Taxco 950 Silver & Sodalite Barrel Bead Necklace - Navajo Pearl Style - 95% Pure

Gorgeous vintage artisan beaded necklace in rare 950 silver - higher purity than standard 925 sterling!

This is not 925 - the clasp bar is clearly hallmarked 950, meaning 95% pure silver, higher than the 92.5% in sterling silver. Brighter white shine, substantial weight. Taxco, Mexico and Peru are famous for using 950.

Details:

• 11 natural deep royal blue Sodalite barrel beads, about 16-18mm long each, with natural white veining and mineral inclusions (see close-ups - those white spots are natural to the stone)

• 950 silver saucer / rondelle spacers between each blue bead

• Graduated round Navajo pearl style beads - approx 6mm to 9mm

• Tiny silver heishi beads at back near clasp for comfortable wear

• Clasp: hook clasp stamped 950 on bar - see photo

Measurements:

• Total length end to end: approx 19 inches

• Wearable length: approx 19 inches

• Sodalite focal section: approx 13"

• Weight: substantial, feels like 45-55 grams of silver + stone

Condition: Very good vintage pre-owned. Sodalite beads have natural color variation and light surface wear. Clasp works perfectly. No broken beads. See all photos - what you see is what you get.

A statement piece - western, boho, Taxco, southwestern. Looks amazing alone or layered.
