Vtg Brass Tree Belt Buckle - Windswept Lone Cypress Style - 1970s Abstract

Vintage solid brass belt buckle with a beautiful windswept tree - reminds me so much of the famous Lone Cypress tree in Carmel-by-the-Sea / Pebble Beach on 17 Mile Drive!

1970s handcrafted abstract design. The tree trunk is in the center with the foliage floating above, and two large open cut-outs underneath that let your belt show through. When the light hits the dark patina in the recesses it really pops. The back shows nice old brass patina with some verdigris around the loop - all original, never cleaned.

This is that Rustic Solid Brass Carmel / Pebble Beach / Lone Cypress style that collectors love. Not marked Pebble Beach, but it captures that iconic 250-year-old cypress clinging to the rocks perfectly.

From your photos:

• Material: Solid Brass - heavy, no makers mark

• Size: Approx 3" W x 2" H - see ruler photo, fits up to 1-3/4" belt wide [similar buckles fit up to 1 3/4” ]

• Era: 1970s-1980s vintage boho / western

• Front: Light surface scratches, nice natural brass patina

• Back: Deeper patina / tarnish, solid brass loop - fully functional

Perfect for anyone who loves Carmel, Monterey, Pebble Beach, 17 Mile Drive, or just a great Tree of Life design. Great gift for a California coast lover.

From a private estate near Seattle.

Reminiscent of the Lone Cypress - not official Pebble Beach Co. merchandise.
