Vintage Brass Lily Pad Frog Sundial - Garden Sundial with Verdigris Patina

Vintage Brass Lily Pad Frog Sundial - Garden Sundial with Verdigris Patina

Charming vintage solid brass garden sundial in the shape of a lily pad with a sweet little frog sitting on the edge! The dial has raised Roman numerals around the edge and a dragonfly / forked gnomon in the center that casts the shadow.

This is the popular White Swan style sundial from the 1980s, heavy cast brass/bronze with beautiful natural aged patina and verdigris on the frog and gnomon - left exactly as found, perfect for the garden. You can polish it bright if you prefer, but collectors love this aged look.

Functional sundial - set it in the sun in your garden, flower bed, pond edge, or use as a unique desk / shelf accent. The frog is so detailed with textured skin and sweet face!

Measurements:

Approximately 7.5" long x 6" wide lily pad, about 2" tall to top of frog. Heavy - about 2.5 to 3 lbs. Please see my ruler photos for scale - I measured from about 3" to 7" on the ruler.

Condition:

Good vintage condition. No cracks, no breaks, gnomon is sturdy and straight. Original patina with verdigris as shown in close-ups. Underside shows age and screw attachments for frog and gnomon - see last photo. A little wobbly if not on flat surface due to casting, typical for these.

Adds a wonderful whimsical touch to any garden, pond, or brass frog collection!

Wicker tray and fall leaves in photos are for display only.
