2 B&G Egg Cups Blue & White Danish Porcelain #57 - Similar & Complementary

Pair of 2 Bing & Grondahl B&G Blue & White Egg Cups #57 - Danish Porcelain - Complementary Mismatch

Lovely pair of vintage Danish egg cups from Bing & Grondahl.

Both are the same classic B&G shape #57 in white porcelain with hand-painted cobalt blue floral decoration - same company, same colors, same size - but with slightly different paintings, so they complement each other without being an exact match.

Details:

• Maker: Bing & Grondahl (B&G), Copenhagen Denmark

• Pattern: Blue Fluted / Blue Flower / Musselmalet

• Model: 57 egg cup - footed with blue line around foot

• Decoration: One has a blue floral garland around top and large flower at base, the other has delicate scattered sprigs / buds - both in same blue

• Marks: B&G 57 with blue hand-painted painter's initial on bottom (photo 4)

• Size: Approx 2" tall x 2" wide - standard soft boiled egg size

• Condition: Good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Light utensil marks inside consistent with use. Clean and glossy.

These are perfect to mix-and-match for a Scandinavian breakfast table, or to display with Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted. The slight variation is very charming and shows the hand-painted nature of B&G porcelain.

You will receive the exact 2 egg cups shown.
