Charming Vintage Set of 6 E.R. Spear & Co. Ice Cream / Cake Forks - Spork Style - Ornate Shell Pattern

For sale is a lovely matched set of 6 antique dessert forks from noted American maker E.R. Spear & Co.

Often called ice cream forks, cake forks, pastry forks, or dessert sporks - these have the classic 3-tine fork tip combined with a shallow spoon bowl, perfect for cake, ice cream, pastry, and fruit.

Details:

• Maker: E.R. SPEAR & CO. - stamped on back of handle (see photo 5)

• Set of 6 - all matching, all same mark

• Pattern: Beautiful Victorian shell and scrollwork at tip and bowl - fiddle thread handles with shell terminal

• Size: Approx 5 3/4" long (great dessert size)

• Material: Marked E.R. Spear & Co. - appears to be silverplate / early coin silver - not tested for sterling. Selling as silverplate. Nice bright polish, no monograms.

• Condition: Good antique vintage condition. Light surface scratches and utensil marks consistent with age and use, as shown in close-ups. No bends, no deep pits. They shine up beautifully, just need final polish to your preference.

These are getting harder to find in full sets of 6. Perfect for a vintage table setting, ice cream social, wedding cake service, or PlumbCrazyVintage collection.
