Vtg Erzgebirge W. German Wood Fisherman Incense Smoker - Big Fish in Net - 9.5

Charming vintage German Räuchermann incense smoker fisherman, handmade in West Germany. This classic Erzgebirge folk art piece features a bearded fisherman in blue cap, mustard yellow smock and brown boots, carrying a huge red fish over his shoulder in a white net with red floats.

When you place a small incense cone inside, smoke gently puffs out through his mouth and his wooden pipe - the traditional smoking effect.

Details:

• Separates at the middle for incense cone placement

• Original metal incense cup and spring clips inside hold top securely

• Faux fur beard and eyebrows, painted wood face, wooden ball hands

• Net is original string with wooden bead floats, fish has rope hanger through mouth

• Large size at 9.5" tall to top of cap

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Clean and bright paint with light wear consistent with age. Some minor paint rub on nose of fish and cap edge, as shown. Net is intact with no major tangles. Beard is full. Metal cup shows incense residue from use, as expected. Works as it should. No cracks or repairs to wood. Please see all photos, they are part of the description.
