Glamorous vintage brass nautilus shell planter – perfect Hollywood Regency / coastal touch!
Details from your piece:
Heavy solid brass (not plated), with a bright polished finish
Stylized nautilus shell with hand-incised spiral lines (darkened for contrast – see close-ups)
Open top bowl ideal for a small succulent, air plant, moss, or as a catchall for rings/keys
Sits on a sculptural rocky coral-style pedestal base for stability
Unmarked – typical of 1960s-70s import brass
Condition: Very good vintage. Exterior shines beautifully with light surface scratches consistent with age and polishing. Interior shows natural dark patina from use (see photo 3) – no dents, no splits, no wobble. Base has old residue from a felt pad/sticker (last photo).
