Vintage Abingdon USA Green Shell Planter - Mid Century Art Pottery
Lovely vintage art pottery planter by Abingdon Pottery.
• Maker: Abingdon Pottery, Abingdon, Illinois U.S.A. - stamped ABINGDON U.S.A. in rectangle, with mold number 569 impressed
• Color / Glaze: Soft jade green / mint green glossy glaze, classic 1940s Abingdon green
• Shape: Scalloped shell form with ribbed bamboo / leaf vertical ribs, fluted rim, oval footed base. Perfect for mid century, art deco, cottagecore, or grandmillennial decor
• Size: Approx. 4 3/4" to 5" tall x 6 1/2" wide x 4" deep - see ruler photo. Nice medium console size
• Uses: Planter, vase, catchall, succulent pot, air plant display - no drainage hole, use with liner or as dry vase
Condition: Vintage pre-owned in very good condition. No chips or cracks. Glossy glaze with light age crazing inside. A few tiny brown glaze pops and light interior staining from use as shown in close ups, normal for age. Exterior displays beautifully. Please see all photos, they are part of the description.
