1987 Hand-Painted Ceramic Cat Fishbowl Stand – cat only, no bowl
This sweet arched kitty was made to hover over a little glass fishbowl, watching the goldfish swim. The original clear bowl is missing, so you’re buying the ceramic cat holder only.
What you get:
Solid white ceramic cat with delicate purple flowers with yellow centers and green vines hand-painted over the entire body (see photos — each flower is a little different)
Long oval base with a shallow round indentation where the fishbowl sat
Hand-signed inside “A 87” — dated 1987
Glossy glaze, no chips or cracks, just light vintage crazing and a few kiln spots
Use ideas now that the bowl is gone:
Set a 4" glass fishbowl, succulent pot, or candle in the dip
Use as a quirky ring dish / trinket holder (the cat “guards” your jewelry)
Display as-is — the arched pose is great on a shelf
It’s in the same family as the vintage “black cat looking into fish bowl” figurines that collectors love. This one is the rare floral-painted white version and it’s dated.
