VINTAGE SMALL REVERSE PAINTED GLASS MIRROR - 8 BIRDS & FLORAL VINES - GOLD GILT WOOD FRAME

Darling little vintage wall mirror with decorative frame surrounding the mirror. Frame is divided into 4 panels of reverse painted glass with 8 colorful songbirds perched on flowering branches with berries and grapes.

Such great detail! Blues, ochre, terracotta red, mustard yellow and pink birds with big sweet eyes, tiny white and pink flowers, green leaves, on a crackled antique gold background. The center is a small arched vanity mirror.

Perfect boho entryway, powder room, gallery wall, or bird lover gift.

Measurements - with ruler:

• Overall frame: approx. 8 1/4" tall x 6" wide x 3/4" deep

• Mirror glass: approx. 4" tall x 2 1/4" wide (arched top)

• Weighs approx. 10-12 oz

Condition:

Good vintage condition. Wood frame has distressed gold gilt finish with age wear and some paint loss at edges - part of its charm. Reverse painted panels have some light speckling / foil wear consistent with age - see close ups, especially lower edge. Mirror has some very light surface spots / dust under glass from age but still reflects well. Back is wood with cardboard backing held with nails, metal triangle hanger - ready to hang. No chips or cracks to glass.

Vintage 70s/80s Indian folk art import. These were often called Peruvian or Indian reverse glass mirrors.
