Wonderful mid-century porcelain turkey from Gerold Porzellan, Tettau, Bavaria. This is the sought-after gray glaze version - most of these were done in white or brown.
Beautiful two-toned gray shading on the body with darker charcoal gray on beak, eyes and feet. Glossy glaze, nicely detailed feathers and full fanned tail. Perfect for Thanksgiving display, farmhouse decor, or Gerold bird collection.

Mark: Green stamped crown crest "GEROLD PORZELLAN BAVARIA" plus "MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY" - dates this to the 1960s-1970s.
Size: Measures about 5” tall - see picture with the ruler.
Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks or repairs that I can see. Glaze is bright with no crazing. Light surface wear / tiny flecks to cold-painted gold highlights consistent with age - please see close-up photos. Displays beautifully.
