I have been an avid thrifter and collector for decades. I can spend hours scouring flea markets, thrift shops, Goodwill and estate sales and do just that on most weekends. My home is an eclectic mix of my many finds and probably decorated with 80% previously loved furniture, art and decorations. MCM holds a special place in my heart - there's just something about the clean lines of the furniture and the whimsy of the decorative pieces that brings me so much happiness. This is my first foray into online selling, but I'm very excited to share the treasures I find and to be included in this community.
Beautiful vintage hand-wrought aluminum silent butler by Rodney Kent, featuring an embossed bouquet of tulips across the hinged lid. The softly hammered surface is complemented by an ornate tulip-shaped handle, giving this practical table accessory an elegant sculptural quality.
Traditionally used to collect dining-table crumbs or fireplace ashes, it could also be repurposed today as a decorative trinket container, mail holder or unique display piece. The underside is marked “Hand Wrought Creations by Rodney Kent” and numbered 427.
Measurements: 8” x 5” x 1.5” handle 5.5”
Good vintage condition with age-related surface scratches, small dark marks and natural patina. The hinges and lid appear intact. These signs of use add to its authentic vintage character.
