I have been an avid thrifter and collector for decades. I can spend hours scouring flea markets, thrift shops, Goodwill and estate sales and do just that on most weekends. My home is an eclectic mix of my many finds and probably decorated with 80% previously loved furniture, art and decorations. MCM holds a special place in my heart - there's just something about the clean lines of the furniture and the whimsy of the decorative pieces that brings me so much happiness. This is my first foray into online selling, but I'm very excited to share the treasures I find and to be included in this community.
Beautiful vintage porcelain cup and saucer featuring a pale powder-blue ground, deep cobalt borders and elaborate hand-applied gold decoration. Stylized floral designs, scalloped edges and an ornate scroll handle give the set an elegant Art Nouveau-inspired appearance.
The underside and any maker’s mark are not shown, so the manufacturer and exact age are unknown. The design resembles vintage Japanese export porcelain, including Nippon-style pieces.
Measurements Saucer 5.5” diameter Cup 3” x 3”
There is a small crack/chip on the rim of cup and the handle shows wear. The saucer is in excellent condition.
