Mini Brass Coal Scuttle Bucket - Delft Blue White Porcelain Handle - Lion Head

Vintage miniature brass coal scuttle / ash bucket with Delft porcelain handle and lion head mounts.

Charming small-scale version of the traditional coal hod, helmet shape with flared spout, pedestal base, and two handles. The main arched bail handle has lion head medallions at the base attached with copper rivets, and the side helper handle is white porcelain hand-painted with blue stripes and floral sprigs in Delft style.

• Size: Approx 6" tall to top of handle, bucket 3" tall x 4" wide at rim, 2.5" base diameter

• Material: Solid brass / copper with porcelain handle, brass hardware, copper rivets

• Details: Lion face mounts, flared spout, pedestal foot, swinging bail handle

• Condition: Good vintage condition. Brass has natural patina / tarnish and light surface wear and white oxidation residue around rivets as shown in close-ups - not polished, could be cleaned or left as is. Porcelain handle is intact with no chips, some light crazing and glaze speckles. Bottom has some green oxidation inside from age. No dents or holes. Handle swings freely and is sturdy.

This is the 1950s-1970s decorative version made to be used as a planter, ashtray, match holder, or small hearth decor. Great cottage, farmhouse, fireplace, or Delft collector piece.
