Antique Opaline Glass Bud Vase - Hand Painted White Daisies - Ruffled Top - Translucent Delicate - Victorian Bristol Glass 6"

Sweet Antique Translucent Opaline Glass Bud Vase with Hand Painted Daisies - Delicate, Not Heavy Milk Glass This is NOT the heavy, opaque white milk glass — this is the earlier, delicate translucent opaline glass that glows when you hold it up to the light. You can see light through it! Very thin, lightweight, and finely made with a beautiful ruffled crimped top. Hand-painted with raised enamel flowers — creamy white daisies with yellow centers and little black dots, sage green leaves, rust-red and sky blue leaves, and little touches of gold gilt. Red painted base. The ruffled top has a little dark gold wear on a couple of crimps (see photos) which is normal for its age. It’s a perfect little bud vase — holds 2-3 tiny wildflower stems and looks so pretty on a windowsill because the light shines through.
