Beautiful vintage blue & white chinoiserie square teapot with brass bail handle!
• Shape: Rare hexagonal / square bottle shape with square lid and peony flower medallion on each side
• Pattern: Hand-painted blue floral vine and large white peony / chrysanthemum on white ground - all sides decorated
• Handle: Solid brass overhandle with starburst brass screw mounts - swings and locks upright
• Lid: Square lift-off lid with blue button finial
• Inside: Clean white porcelain - no stains - see photo with lid off
• Size: Approx. 5" tall body, 6.5" to top of brass handle, 8" from spout tip to back
• Mark: No mark - Chinese export style, similar to Andrea by Sadek / Bombay Co. pieces
• Condition: Excellent vintage - no chips or cracks to porcelain, brass has light patina / tarnish appropriate to age, light crazing to glaze typical, spout clean with no drips
Perfect as a functional teapot, shelf decor, or blue & white collection display. Great cottagecore / grandmillennial style!
