Vintage Amberina Uranium Glass Compote Kemple Wheaton Starburst Red Amber Pedestal Candy Dish UV Reactive 5 Inch

Beautiful vintage Amberina pressed glass pedestal compote, attributed to Kemple/Wheaton and commonly identified as the Starburst pattern.

This striking little compote features a brilliant ruby-red bowl with deeply molded starburst/sunburst medallions, geometric detailing and a dramatic sawtooth rim. The color gradually transitions down the pedestal into a gorgeous golden amber flower-shaped foot.

Even better for collectors, this piece does show fluorescence under black light/UV light, consistent with uranium-containing glass. The glow is more subtle than some bright green uranium glass, but it is visibly UV reactive.

A wonderful piece for an Amberina, uranium glass, vintage pressed glass or colorful mid-century glass collection. It would also make a beautiful small candy dish, trinket dish or display compote.
