I love hunting for treasures and finding bargains. I am very busy with three parents/in laws all in their 80s and the most wonderful six year old grandson with autism. Digging for vintage treasures is a little "me time" and I'm looking forward to sharing them with everyone through Secondhand Squad.
Beautiful vintage green Hobstar & Arches pressed glass bowl featuring an incredibly detailed geometric design and a dramatic scalloped sawtooth rim.
The glass is a rich emerald/olive green that changes beautifully depending on the lighting. Each side features an ornate hobstar medallion surrounded by diamond-cut geometric details and sweeping raised arches. The bottom has a lovely radiating floral/starburst design.
The Hobstar & Arches pattern is a historic pressed-glass design originally associated with Imperial Glass and is also found in later vintage production, with similar examples frequently attributed to L.E. Smith. This bowl is unmarked, so I am leaving the exact manufacturer unspecified.
A gorgeous piece for a vintage glass collection and especially pretty displayed with other green, amber or fall-colored glass. It would make a lovely candy or nut bowl, trinket dish, centerpiece accent, or simply a decorative collectible.
Approximate Measurements: 6" across 3" tall
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are considered part of the description and are the best representation of condition. Vintage glass may show minor signs of age and previous use.
