Beautiful silverplate gallery stand featuring pierced openwork, engraved floral detailing, ornate cast handles, and decorative shell-and-scroll feet. Originally designed to cradle a glass or porcelain casserole insert, this timeless piece is just as lovely styled for today's home.
I cannot certify it is an antique, however, most image searches and "Curio" app identify as late 19th century antique from England.
Use it to display a favorite bowl, seasonal greenery, ornaments, pillar candles, pumpkins, or a holiday centerpiece. It also makes a stunning base for a floral arrangement or vintage ironstone bowl.
The silverplate has developed a lovely vintage patina that can be polished if desired. Original insert is not included.
