Beautiful matching set of 4 late Victorian plates in the highly collectible "Antique" pattern by W.H. Grindley & Co. (Staffordshire, England).
Dating back to their original patent registration year of 1895 (Rd No 250386), these ironstone plates feature an intricate teal-green/blue floral transferware border. The edges are elegantly scalloped with delicate hand-applied gold gilding highlights along the rim. They are perfect for holiday tablescapes, wall displays, or adding to your existing Grindley collection.

Condition Details (Please Read for Transparency): This 130-year-old set is free of any chips, cracks, or flea bites, but the four plates show varying degrees of historic aging:
2 Plates are in Very Good Vintage Condition: These two have an incredibly clean appearance with beautiful glossy glazes and only minimal, faint surface crazing upon close inspection.
2 Plates show Heavier Historic Crazing: These two feature prominent, all-over spiderweb crazing and light, natural under-glaze age toning/shadowing, which gives them a stunning, authentic antique look.
