Hi Everyone! I am from Ohio and love thrifting and perusing our local antique stores! I enjoy pieces that remind me of my grandparents and love the hunt of finding unique treasures to bring into my home.
Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG) refers to a style of glassware produced in the United States from the mid-19th century until the early 20th century. These pieces were made using molds, allowing for mass production of intricate patterns that were previously only achievable through costly hand-cutting. EAPG became incredibly popular for its affordability and decorative appeal, gracing the tables and cabinets of many American households. This particular decanter, with its diamond and fan patterns, is characteristic of the EAPG era, specifically around the turn of the 20th century. The 'genie bottle' shape, with its rounded body and slender neck, was a common form for decanters and perfume bottles during this period. Such pieces are often sought after by collectors for their historical significance and the craftsmanship evident in their pressed patterns.
