Vintage Handmade Segmented Wood Lidded Bowl with Finial
Beautiful little turned wood treasure bowl with lid! Great craftsmanship.
Features a burl wood base, wide maple rim, and a domed lid with a turned finial / acorn knob on top. The middle band has a double checkerboard inlay of light maple and dark reddish-brown wood [probably walnut / padauk]. Looks like 1970s studio craft work.
Perfect for jewelry, rings, trinkets, desk treasures, or as small decor.

Inside: Approx. 4" wide x 2" deep
Lid lifts off completely - friction fit. Center lathe dimple on inside of lid and bottom as made.
Condition: Very good vintage handmade condition. Clean and solid. A couple of small hairline separations / glue gaps in the checker inlay band and a couple rim segments - visible in your close-up photos. Light wear / tiny scuffs from age and use. No major cracks. See all photos.
