Vintage Ornate Gravy Boat with Attached Underplate — Silver Tone — Baroque Style
Beautiful classic serving piece with boat attached to its own underplate, no more chasing a separate tray.
PLEASE READ MATERIALS NOTE: No maker mark or silverplate stamp was found. The finish, weight, and wear look like vintage silverplate, but I cannot verify silver content. I am listing this as silver tone metal / silver colored metal, unmarked, unknown manufacturer, sold as is. No claims of sterling or silverplate.
Lovely details:
• Pedestal footed gravy boat with curved spout
• Large ornate loop handle with floral scroll top and bottom mounts
• Attached underplate with deeply embossed baroque floral scroll border all around
• Bright reflective finish on top, brushed satin inside bowl
Condition Notes — please see photos:
• Top side shows nicely with mirror shine, some light surface scratches and utensil marks from normal use
• Underside of tray shows age wear, small dark spots and a tiny rust colored pinpoint spot near edge, light pitting and tarnish in crevices, see last photo
• Interior shows light swirls, no dents in bowl
• Attached tray is solid, no wobble, stands flat
A great usable server for gravy, sauces, dressings, or as a charming vanity or baroque decor piece. Perfect for Thanksgiving, holidays, or cottage farmhouse table.
