Sweet vintage Gold Castle Chikusa porcelain handled basket dish.
White porcelain with colorful Dresden-style floral bouquet in the center - large pink roses, orange, yellow and periwinkle blue flowers with green leaves, plus smaller matching sprigs around the rim. Ornate gold scrolls and gold trim on rim and handle. Scalloped shape with loop handle in center - often called a bonbon basket, candy basket or trinket basket.
Perfect for a vanity, dresser, coffee table, or cottage display. Use for candy, nuts, jewelry, or soap.
Backstamp: Blue Gold Castle crown logo with CHIKUSA - this is the classic Chikusa export ware from Japan.
Condition: Good vintage pre-owned condition. No chips, no cracks, no crazing that I can see. Please look closely at photos - central pink flower has some paint wear / glaze loss as is common with this pattern, see close-up. Light gold wear on rim. Displays beautifully.
