Vintage 1945-1952 Made in Occupied Japan Dual Salt and Pepper Shaker in one piece - novelty purse / basket form with handle.
This cute space-saver has both shakers joined at the base with a handle on top. One side is Salt, one side Pepper - the holes actually spell out S and P when you look at the ends. White porcelain with soft pink rose decals on all four sides and thin gold pinstriping on top and handle.
A wonderful piece of post-WWII history for your Occupied Japan or cottage kitchen collection.
Condition: Good vintage pre-owned condition. No chips or cracks to the porcelain. Light crazing and tiny dark flecks consistent with age. Gold trim is worn/faded in places as shown. Original corks are included and still functional - one cork has a split/crack from age. See all photos - photos are part of the description.
Measurements:
Approx. 2 3/4" long x 1 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" tall to top of handle. Small and sweet - fits in palm of hand.
