Vintage 1940s-1950s cheese holder / cheese saver with fun Art Deco disc pitcher handle!
• Top: Sunny yellow plastic in the shape of a disc water pitcher - concentric ring design like Fiesta Ware Fiesta - with spout and ring handle. This is what you hold.
• Base: Clear Lucite / early acrylic round base with 3 long spikes underneath - you push spikes into block of cheddar / Velveeta to lift and slice.
• Size: Approx 2-1/4" tall x 1-3/4" diameter base - see ruler photo. Miniature.
Great for: Retro kitchen display, charcuterie board conversation piece, Fiesta Ware collector's go-with, mid-century kitchen kitsch collection.
Condition: Good vintage used. Yellow top shows some age - light surface wear, tiny paint chips on rings and spout tip (see close-ups), and a few dark scuffs. Clear Lucite base has some cloudiness and light scratches from use, but no cracks or breaks. Spikes are sharp and intact. No markings.
NOT Homer Laughlin Fiesta Ware - this is a novelty kitchen tool made to match / go with Fiesta colors. No Fiesta stamp. Plastic, not ceramic.
