Plumb Crazy Vintage is run by me, Joan Plumb. I've always loved the thrill of the hunt — the estate sale early mornings, the tucked-away antique malls, the joy of spotting something special that deserves a second life. I collect vintage, antique, and delightfully unique pieces that have character and make me smile. Every piece in the shop is chosen by hand and ready for a new home. I pack with care and ship the first business day after purchase. Your purchase helps fund my local food bank.
VINTAGE BRASS LETTER HOLDER RACK WITH HAND LETTER OPENER - VICTORIAN HANDS
Cute Victorian style solid brass desk set - small 5.5" tall letter rack / holder with matching hand dagger letter opener.
HOW IT WORKS:
Letters, mail, or memos stand upright in the rack - they sit between the front post and the tall back T. The two decorative brass gloved hands are the finials - one on the front post, one on top of the back. This is NOT a spring clip or pinch clip holder - nothing clips, letters just stand in the slot. The two small wire loops on the back are only to store the letter opener.
DETAILS:
• Solid brass - heavy - kidney bean base approx 5" x 2.5"
• Height: Approx 5.5" to top of rear hand - see ruler photo
• Includes: Brass rack + 4" brass hand-handle dagger letter opener that stores on back
• Base has two screw construction, old red felt on bottom mostly worn off
• No maker mark
CONDITION:
Good vintage estate condition. Brass with natural patina, tarnish, and age darkening - unpolished as found. Small round discoloration spot on top of base as shown. No breaks or repairs. See all 7 photos.
Perfect Victorian desk decor.
