Vintage Lot of 2 Wyoming Solid Brass Belt Buckles - Heritage Mint Ltd. - 1977 & 1978
Commemorative Wyoming pair from the Bicentennial-era western buckle boom. Both are marked REGISTERED COLLECTION SOLID BRASS HERITAGE MINT LTD. - true vintage solid brass, not plated.
This lot includes:
Oval, brass with black antiqued background. Raised lettering WYOMING 1890 around the Wyoming Great Seal - central figure of Equality holding EQUAL RIGHTS banner flanked by miner and cattleman, shield with star. Dates 1869 / 1890 at bottom of seal. This honors Wyoming statehood July 10, 1890 - the 44th state and the Equality State.
Approx 3-1/4" wide x 2-1/8" tall. Fits 1-1/2" belt. Standard pin and loop back.
Oval, brass with black antiqued background. Raised WYOMING at top, majestic Rocky Mountain Bighorn Ram standing on cliff edge with mountain range behind. Artist signature M. Lunio? at left. The Rocky Mountain Bighorn is a classic Wyoming icon.
Approx 2-1/2" wide x 2" tall. Fits 1-1/2" belt.
Condition: Very good vintage. Both show nice original patina and hand-buffed highlights as issued. No cracks, chips or broken loops. Light surface wear from age/display consistent with 45+ years. See close-ups of fronts and backs. Uncleaned - I left the natural brass patina for the collector.
Material: Solid brass - marked on back on both.
