Plumb Crazy Vintage is run by treasure hunter Joan Plumb, finding vintage, antique, and delightfully unique pieces with personality. I collect because I love the thrill of the hunt—and giving special finds a second life in a new home. If it makes me smile, it made the cut. I usually ship the 1st business day after purchase. By purchasing from me you are contributing to my local food bank in Sequim (pronounced Skwim) Washington. I give a portion of my proceeds to them each quarter.
Handsome mid-century modern enamel-on-copper bowl, signed and dated "Lea 67" on the base.
This piece is a classic example of 1960s American studio enamel craft, likely made by a Pacific Northwest artist. The bowl features a rich, metallic bronze/olive enamel ground with a beautifully raised central wreath motif in vibrant yellow, chartreuse, and green enamel. The design has wonderful dimension and glossy depth typical of kiln-fired vitreous enamel.
Details:
• Artist: Lea (signed), 1967
• Origin: Estate sale find, Washington State — likely PNW studio artist
A beautiful centerpiece bowl for candy, keys, or display. The warm olive tone and bright wreath make it perfect for fall, but it works year-round with MCM, boho, or eclectic
