Vintage Silver Plated 12 Knife Holder - Ornate Shell Stand - Made in China
Beautiful vintage knife stand for your table or sideboard. Ornate cast ends with a large shell / palmette fan and scroll feet with floral rosette details, connected by 3 rods and a slotted center plate with 12 vertical slots to hold 12 dinner knives.
Perfect for formal dining, keeping knife blades off the tablecloth, or as elegant kitchen / buffet decor. Classic Victorian-style piece made in China.
Details:
• Silver plated - NOT sterling, plate shows nice shine but with age patina
• Holds 12 knives horizontally, handles on one side, blades on the other
• Both ornate shell ends are matching and in good shape
• Original "MADE IN CHINA" sticker still on inside of one shell (see photo)
• Sturdy and stands level on 4 scrolled feet
Condition:
Good vintage pre-owned condition. Needs a light polish. I see light tarnish / discoloration, surface scratches and light wear consistent with age and use. Some darker patina in crevices of the shell design. No breaks, no bent rods. Please look closely at all photos - they are part of the description.
Approximate size: about 6.5" long x 3.5" wide x 4" tall at the shells. Standard dinner knives fit perfectly.
