Pair of 1940s hand-decorated ceramic boudoir lamps by William F. B. Johnson Inc. Each lamp features a large sculpted yellow rose at the base with soft blue-green leaves and a pale blue ribbon bow, on a creamy ivory twisted stem. Original foil label on back reads “Hand Decorated – Wm F.B. Johnson – An Original Styling by William F.B. Johnson Inc.”
These are the classic small bedside lamps made in the USA in the 1920-1949 era. Good vintage working condition, no chips or cracks to ceramic
• Paint wear to yellow rose petals consistent with age (see close-up photos 2, 3, 6). Some white base showing through on high points
• Light surface crazing to glaze, minor scuffs to sockets
• Labels intact but with edge curling
• Sold as-is, no shades included
Perfect for cottage, shabby chic, grandmillennial bedroom, or vanity. The yellow is much harder to find than the pink.
