Otagiri Mercantile Company (OMC) was a Japanese company that produced a wide range of decorative ceramic items, including vases, teacups, and figurines, primarily from the 1950s through the 1980s. Their pieces are often characterized by hand-painted or raised designs, frequently featuring floral motifs, birds, or pastoral scenes. These items were popular as decorative collectibles and gifts during their production era.
This particular bud vase, with its raised floral design and delicate color palette, is representative of Otagiri's aesthetic during the latter half of the 20th century.
