Vintage 1987 Maud Humphrey Bogart "House Cleaning" Musical Jewelry Box - Heirloom Tradition
Lovely limited edition music box featuring the artwork "House Cleaning" by Maud Humphrey (1868-1940), noted American illustrator and mother of Humphrey Bogart. Distributed by The Heirloom Tradition, Long Beach, CA for Hamilton Gifts Ltd.
The lid shows a charming Victorian image of a little girl in pink dress and big white hat with green bow holding a broom, while a baby in white holds a dustpan. Signed "Maud Humphrey 17" in the image. Cream background with gold border trim.
Box is pale peach / shell pink lacquered wood with high-gloss ceramic tile inset on lid. Opens with a long gold piano hinge on back. Inside is soft pink / mauve velvet fabric with a small compartment for rings. Metal wind-up key on bottom - bottom is marked with all edition info as shown in photo.

Condition: Good vintage condition. No chips to the tile. Glossy finish is bright with only light surface scratches. One small dark scuff on front side edge and tiny wear to lacquer at one back corner - see close-up photo with ruler. Inside velvet is clean with some light age spots. Hinge works well, lid opens and closes tightly.
Music: Music box winds and plays - works great.
