Vintage Brass Manneken Pis Souvenir Bell - Bruxelles / Brussels, Belgium
Charming vintage solid brass souvenir bell topped with the iconic Manneken Pis figure.
This is the well known Brussels landmark, the little fountain statue that has been a symbol of the city since the 1600s. This figural bell was a popular European souvenir in the mid-century.
Details:
• Material: Solid brass / bronze, heavy for its size
• Height: 5 inches tall
• Markings: Embossed BRUXELLES on upper band, VILLE DE WATERLOO around lower rim, with raised figural frieze of folk characters around the bell body
• Sound: Has original clapper inside, rings clearly [confirm yours rings]
• Finish: Original unpolished patina with warm aged brass tone
Condition: Vintage pre-owned, good condition. Nice sharp casting detail. Light surface wear, minor scratches and natural patina consistent with age and use. Please see all close-up photos for condition. No major dents or repairs noted.
