Vintage Art Nouveau Revival Brass Oval Sash Brooch with Large Faceted Amethyst Purple Glass Stone
Gorgeous large brass brooch with flowing floral vines and scrollwork — classic Art Nouveau design. Center set with a large oval faceted glass stone in deep amethyst / garnet purple that catches the light beautifully (see close)
• Solid brass, nice weight, oval domed back
• 4 raised flowers with swirling vines, openwork cut-outs on sides
• Center bezel-set oval purple glass, faceted, no chips — approx 1.25" x 0.75"
• Back: long pin with C-catch, works smoothly, slight bend is normal for age
• Measures approx 2.75" wide x just under 2" tall — ruler photo is part of description
Condition: Good vintage. Brass has aged patina with darkening in crevices and light surface speckling as shown — not polished, perfect vintage character. Stone secure, no cracks. Pin straight and functional. Please review all photos.
Perfect for coat, scarf, hat, or as a collector display piece. Lovely for February birthday (amethyst color) or Victorian/Art Nouveau collection.
