Vintage Belgian Copper Tray / Wall Plaque - Handmade Repoussé Kneeling Figure Reaching Toward Sun, Prayer / Adoration, Made in Belgium

A beautiful, soulful piece of vintage Belgian copperwork. This rectangular copper tray / wall plaque is hand-worked in high relief — repoussé — with a robed figure kneeling in prayer, head tilted up, one arm crossed over the chest and the other arm raised, reaching toward a radiant sun. It has that wonderful old-copper glow: warm copper tones, deep patina in the recesses, and just a hint of verdigris around the raised figure that really makes the design pop. It reads as a devotional / adoration scene, and would be lovely as spiritual wall art, a meditation piece, a catch-all tray, or a centerpiece on a shelf or altar. On the back is a copper hanging tab with a hole for wall hanging, stamped in a circle: MADE IN BELGIUM Details: • Origin: Belgium, handmade • Material: Solid copper, hand-worked / repoussé • Design: Kneeling robed figure in prayer, reaching toward sun • Form: Shallow rectangular tray / plaque with rounded corners and raised rim • Back: Copper hanging tab with hole, stamped MADE IN BELGIUM • Era: Vintage, likely mid-20th century Condition: Very good vintage condition.
