West German aneroid barometer from roughly the 1960s-1980s. The "Made in Western Germany" mark puts it between 1949-1990, and these round, wood-cased barometers were very popular mid-century imports.
Description
What it is: An aneroid barometer measuring atmospheric pressure to forecast weather. It has no liquid — instead, a sealed metal chamber expands/contracts with pressure changes, moving the needle.
