Lovely antique Royal Sometuke Nippon blue and white creamer pitcher featuring the sought-after Twin Phoenix Bird pattern.
Bulbous low creamer shape with pinched spout and loop handle decorated with scrolling floral vines. The central reserve shows two facing phoenix birds with stylized chrysanthemum and leaf garland. Classic sometsuke cobalt blue on bright white porcelain. Pattern continues over the handle.
Marked on the base in blue script "Royal Sometuke NIPPON" - early Noritake production. This is the same pattern collectors list as Phoenix Bird / Flying Turkey creamer.
Perfect to replace a piece in your blue and white set, for farmhouse coffee service, or vintage Chinoiserie display.
Condition: From photos, excellent antique condition - No chips, cracks or repairs seen. Glossy glaze, bright color. Please see all photos as part of description - I have included close-ups of the bird detail, handle, spout and base mark. There is one tiny kiln speck / brown dot near birds as made.
