Vintage Pair of Solid Copper Round Bottom Mixing Bowls - Cul de Poule - Brass Hanging Rings - Nesting Set

Authentic French-style solid copper bowls with round bottoms for whipping egg whites for meringues, soufflés and mousses. Unlined copper creates more stable foam - favored by pastry chefs. Beautiful farmhouse display when hung.

You will receive 2 bowls that nest:

Bowl 1 - Smaller:

• Approx 8" diameter x 4" deep, ∼1 lb 8 oz, brass D-ring, darker patina interior with fine whisk marks

Bowl 2 - Larger:

• Approx 9.5" diameter x 4.5" deep, ∼2 lbs, silver-tone ring over brass, brighter interior, light spotting near rivet

Both feature:

• Material: Heavy-gauge solid copper, solid brass / brass-tone hanging ring with copper rivet, rolled rim for strength

• Construction: Spun copper with circular brush marks, true round bottom - no flat spot - designed to be cradled in arm while whisking

• Finish: Unlined - not tinned, not stainless lined - pure copper interior and exterior

• Style: Cul de poule - classic French pastry bowl

Condition: Good vintage pre-owned for both. No dents, no holes, no leaks, rings tight. Light tarnish and patina, faint oxidation spots on exterior, light water spots and fine whisk scratches inside from normal use - see close-ups Photos 2-4.
