Vintage Murano Style Female Torso Art Glass Vase - Red Cased White - Yellow Murrine
Stunning hand blown art glass vase in the iconic female torso / dress form shape with a ruffled handkerchief rim.
Thick cased glass - bright cherry red exterior over opaque white interior. Scattered all over with yellow murrine / millefiori spots - each yellow ring has a multicolor center in green, pink, lavender. Classic Venetian murrine technique.
Folded tricorn / handkerchief top with white lip, pinched waist and flared bust. Heavy, thick-walled, hand finished with a very smooth polished pontil on bottom - no mark, as typical for Murano style.
Measures about 7.5" tall x 5" wide at shoulders. Weighs approx 2+ lbs.
Condition: No chips, cracks, or repairs. Glossy, no dull spots. Some tiny air bubbles from hand blowing, expected. Interior clean. See close-ups of rim, murrine detail, and bottom pontil.
