ANTIQUE 1920s MAHOGANY SWIVEL PICTURE FRAME with ORIGINAL SEPIA PORTRAIT
Authentic 1920s Art Deco articulated vanity frame - the freestanding tilting style that sits on a dresser or desk.
Solid mahogany with deep reddish-brown finish and wonderful patina. Two turned uprights with original black painted ball finials. Pin-mounted frame swivels and tilts smoothly. Heavy beveled base. Original wavy glass and original dark green paper backing with old clips.
Found with its original 1920s sepia studio portrait of a gentleman in suit and tie - great display piece. Photo is unidentified, sold as-found with frame. Perfect as-is or use for your own 5x7 family photo, mirror, or postcard.
Condition: Good antique condition. Swivel works, frame is solid and stable. Wood has light surface wear, minor scuffs and lacquer crazing consistent with 100 years - see close-ups. Glass intact, no cracks. Backing paper has age wear and edge loss as shown.
