VINTAGE ANTIQUE ENGLISH INDUSTRIAL TEXTILE BOBBIN - CLAYTON BRADFORD - ORANGE PAINT - CANDLE HOLDER
Fantastic large antique English mill bobbin spool from the famous maker CLAYTON of BRADFORD - England's wool capital. A wonderful piece of industrial history now perfect as a primitive candle holder and farmhouse decor.
This spool features its original burnt orange / reddish-orange factory paint that is now beautifully chippy and distressed with amazing patina. The top has the original steel plate with 4 screw holes and central brass bushing, and the bottom also has a brass bushing. The wood shaft has a deep warm honey color with lots of age and mill wear.
Perfect as a tall rustic candlestick - flat top holds a pillar candle, or add a taper in the center hole. These look amazing in pairs, clusters, on a mantel, hearth, kitchen island, or in a sewing room.

CONDITION:
Good antique industrial condition. Shows honest wear from years in a textile mill - scratches, scuffs, dark patina, paint loss, edge wear, and small dings consistent with age and use (see close-ups). The orange paint is intentionally left chippy and distressed - that's what collectors want. Sturdy and solid - no cracks. Please review all 5 photos for exact condition.
