Vintage Japanese Blue & White Patchwork Calico Small Stoneware Teapot with Lid
Sweet little vintage stoneware teapot in a charming blue & white patchwork quilt pattern! This is the perfect single-serve / tea-for-one size for display or use.
The pattern is a collage of transferware prints - blue gingham check, tiny ditsy florals, larger cherry blossoms, and seigaiha wave dot - all in cobalt on white. Classic Japanese chintz / calico farmhouse style. Brown glazed knob and handle top, with an unglazed speckled oatmeal stoneware base and interior rim.
Details:
• Size: Approx 4.5 inches tall to top of knob, 3.75 inches tall to rim. Perfect small size.
• Material: Heavy glazed stoneware pottery
• Condition: Very good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs seen. Glaze is shiny with no crazing noted. Inside is clean off-white glaze with light use wear. Bottom is unglazed stoneware - no maker mark. Please see all 8 photos for condition and pattern details.
• Includes original matching lid with steam vent hole.
