Offered is an authentic Royal Worcester Flameproof Porcelain blackbird pie bird, designed by Paul Gertner in 1950. Made in England.

This clever 2-piece kitchen gadget is both functional and decorative:

White Funnel Base - sits in the center of your pie to vent steam while baking
Glossy Blackbird - sits on top of the funnel for serving - so pretty on the table!

• Size: Approx 4.5" tall assembled

• Includes: Original blue box marked ROYAL WORCESTER FLAMEPROOF PORCELAIN - interior has original cut-out insert

• Model: Pie Bird Funnel by Royal Worcester Flameproof Porcelain Brown/White 4.5" Boxed style, but in black & white

Condition:

Bird and funnel are in excellent vintage condition - no chips, cracks, or crazing. High gloss glaze is beautiful. Box is original and displays well but shows age - some staining / wear to the blue paper as shown in photos. Box still has good structure and gold lettering.

Perfect for the pie bird collector, kitchenalia collector, Royal Worcester collector, or baker who loves vintage kitchen gadgets.
