VINTAGE HOLLYWOOD REGENCY GOLD GILT SHELL SOAP DISH - Footed Ormolu with Clear Liner
Gorgeous vintage Hollywood Regency soap dish / trinket dish!
Ornate scalloped shell bowl in gold gilt metal with a beautiful Baroque / Rococo scroll cartouche at the back and 3 ornate cabriole feet with ball toes. Comes with its original clear plastic liner insert to protect the metal.
Perfect as a soap dish, jewelry dish, trinket / ring dish, or vanity decor. Very Plumb Crazy Vintage!
Measurements:
Approx. 5" wide x 4" deep x 1.75" tall to rim, about 2.25" tall to top of crest. From your ruler photos.
Condition:
Good vintage pre-owned condition with lovely patina. Gold gilt finish shows age wear, light tarnish, and some green verdigris spotting / mottling as expected - see close-ups. No breaks to metal. Clear plastic liner is intact, with light surface wear and a faint hairline in plastic at edge (see photo 1). Uncleaned, left with original patina. All 3 feet sturdy.
A heavy, well-made piece - not the lightweight new reproductions.
