Vintage small brass incense burner / censer, made in Hong Kong.
Classic form copied from ancient Chinese bronze tripods:
Heavy cast brass bowl on three short pointed feet
Two upright “ear” handles (screw-mounted inside – visible in photo 3)
Domed lid with 12 teardrop piercings and a pointed finial knob
Warm golden patina with light age wear – not polished, as found
Marks: Base is stamped “HONG KONG” and “INDONESIA” (see close-ups). This matches other Hong Kong export brass censers from the Victorian revival period, which were often marked this way for the clean interior.
Condition: Good vintage. No dents or cracks. Light tarnish and surface scratches consistent with use. Interior shows darkening from incense use (photo 3). Lid fits snugly. A lovely tactile piece with that desirable lightly time-worn appearance.
Perfect for burning small cones or resin (use sand or ash inside), or as a display piece for an Asian altar, tea table, or brass collection. These little Hong Kong censers are getting harder to find in this size.
