For your consideration today is a gorgeous little piece of history in this pewter stamp dispenser. It was designed to hold a roll of 100 stamps and dispense them one at a time for easy access to place on an envelope. This can be used with traditional "lick the back stamps" as well as the current day peel off the roll stamps. It features an ornate floral design and a handle for ease of holding while accessing the stamps. I have owned this since 1998 and it was purchased in this "as-is" condition at an antique estate auction. The floral design caught my eye. I have never used it other than as a display piece in my shadow box. I have never seen another one like it with a handle. It has been well loved over the years, and is slightly dented at the opening. This in no way affects the dispensation of the stamps, as I did test it to make sure before listing. It is not marked, but does appear to be pewter.
