Vintage Moroccan Black & White Hand Painted Ceramic Tagine - 2 Piece Decorative Pot
Lovely small decorative Moroccan tagine in classic black and white. This is the traditional 2-piece form with a shallow serving bowl and tall conical lid. Perfect for boho / Mediterranean decor, shelf styling, kitchen display, or as a small serving dish.
Beautiful all-over hand painted geometric pattern with dots, diamond grid, and scalloped arches. Glossy glaze with overall craquelure/crazing which is typical of this pottery. White/cream ground with bold black decoration and black rim bands.
This size is often called a decorative or serving tagine - great for display, holding small items, incense cone burner, or serving dry items like nuts, olives. Not recommended for stovetop cooking - sold as decorative vintage pottery.
Condition Notes:
Very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks to the bowl or lid rim. Light glaze crazing throughout - original to manufacture and age. Minor paint wear / tiny glaze flakes at the top rim of the knob and a few tiny specks, as shown in close-ups. Handmade imperfections and paint variations are part of the charm.
