This substantial vintage jardinière features an elegant urn form with a pedestal base and ornate scrolling handles. The body is richly decorated with deeply embossed floral and foliate motifs, giving it the appearance of antique bronze or patinated spelter. The dark finish highlights the intricate raised details, creating a dramatic, Old World look. Standing approximately 13 inches tall, this piece makes a striking statement as a planter, floral cachepot, or decorative centerpiece. The twin handles and classical silhouette evoke Victorian and Renaissance Revival styling, while the embossed botanical design adds texture and visual interest from every angle. I am unsure of the metal. The greenish patina suggests some copper alloy. It is non-magnetic. I do not believe it is bronze due to its weight. Because this is a larger piece, the shipping is a bit more. I will refund any excess shipping charges if it happens to be less than the $20 listed.
