All the strange spots are reflections from the under cabinet lights. Vintage Denby Greenwich oval au gratin baker — made in England, handcrafted stoneware in the gorgeous teal-green glaze.
• Size: approx 9" long handle-to-handle x 5.5" wide x 2" deep (see ruler photos — measures just under 9")
• Capacity: about 1 quart — perfect for mac & cheese, scalloped potatoes, veggies, or a small lasagna
• Mark: "DENBY HANDCRAFTED OVEN MICROWAVE FREEZER DISHWASHER-SAFE ENGLAND – GREENWICH" (see bottom photo)
• Material: heavy Denby stoneware — famous for being chip-resistant and going straight from freezer to oven
Condition: Excellent used. No chips, no cracks, no crazing. Glaze is bright and even with the classic Greenwich mottled teal finish. Light utensil marks inside only (normal). Clean and ready to use.
Denby Greenwich was made in the 1990s and is now discontinued — it's oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe, and made from locally-sourced English clay. This color is the rich sea-green that Denby is known for.
